The Silence Deafens

But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me:
for of such is the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 19:14

Children fill the room.

Children who are happy.
Their bellies are full from nutritious food.
They are warm and satisfied.
Their days seem long, comfortable.

Their mothers stand outside the room.  A large glass window looking into the room is all that separates them from their dependent children.  A blind is closed so that they cannot see in.

Then he enters.

The mothers stand by as he enters the room. He silently fills needles that dispense horror into the veins of the these children, causing their sweet faces to contort in utter agony.

He then takes out his butchering devices.
The screams and cries, unheard through the walls or the glass, end only when the life has passed out of their bodies.

But this is not a true story.

Or is it?

Abortion.
"Pro-choice."

Where are the fathers?  They have no say.
It is the mother's body.
If the baby is allowed to be born, then it is their child;
but whether or not it is given life outside the womb,
is the mother's decision alone.

Pro-choice?

Life.
Adoption.
The right choice.

"Is that your solution?"  Some ask.  "You think all these 'unwanted children' will find homes?"

And I ask you,
"In our educated, 'intellectually advanced,' technically acute, modernized world:
snuffing out the cries we cannot hear,
closing our eyes to the dead we cannot see,
burying the bodies that we do not touch...
this is a SOLUTION?
Do you honestly think that this is a 'choice' to offer?"

Are we, in this mind set,
any better than Hitler's mindset?
Are we of the opinion that these are lives unworthy of choice?
Are they "lives unworthy of life"?

"In his first edition of Mein Kampf, Hitler stated that the destruction of the weak and sick is far more humane than their protection. However, apart from his allusion to humane treatment, Hitler saw a purpose in destroying 'the weak' in order to provide the proper space and purity for the strong."

"The phrase 'life unworthy of life' (in German: 'Lebensunwertes Leben') was a Nazi designation for the segments of populace that, according to the racial policy of the Third Reich, had no right to live and thus were to be euthanized. This concept formed an important component of the ideology of Nazism and eventually led to the Holocaust.
(The expression {life unworthy of life} first occurs in the title of a 1920 book, Die Freigabe der Vernichtung Lebensunwerten Lebens, (Allowing the Destruction of Life Unworthy of Life) by  Karl Binding and Alfred Hoche.)"

"For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness:
neither shall evil dwell with thee.
The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.
Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the LORD will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.
Psalm 5:4-6

But there is hope.
For those who ask, there is forgiveness.
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
I John 1:9

There is hope for our nation but it depends on those who claim the name of Christ:
"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face,
and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."
II Chronicles 7:14

There is hope for our nation, but it depends on those who stand for right in this silent type of holocaust:
 vote.
Demand that our elected leaders do what they've said they'd do.
Demand that our leaders do what is right
for ALL our people:
born and unborn.

"When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn."
Proverbs 29:2

Here is a beautiful video about babies in the womb.  Please, watch it.  It is well worth your time.

  2. There is too much rationalization of abortion in our society. I agree that these new lives belong to no one but themselves.

    And God, of course.

    =)

  4. Thanks for your comments. Yes, it is heavy; I debated with myself whether I should post it. Blogs tend to be for cheerful and light things. But then I just felt that I should.

  8. What a thoughtful post. That first story is so sad. Really paints a picture of the horrible practice of abortion as it is.
Bless you for sharing this post.
