Who Said It?

I needed to stop and motivate myself
to finish the projects I am buried under.

Who said,
"By perseverance,
the snail reached the ark."

That was Charles Haddon Spurgeon.

Who said,
"When we do the best that we can,
we never know what miracle is wrought in our life,
or in the life of another."

Helen Keller said that.

Who said,

"If the power to do hard work is not a skill,
it's the best possible substitute for it."

 President
James A. Garfield.

Who said,
" Genius is one percent inspiration,
ninety-nine percent perspiration."

Yes, that's Thomas Edison.

Here is another.

Who said it:

"It had long since come to my attention that people of accomplishment rarely sat back
and let things happen to them.
They went out and happened to things."

 Leonardo da Vinci

Who said,
"Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap,
but by the seeds you plant."

That was
Robert Louis Stevenson.

Who said,
"The difference between perseverance and obstinacy
is that one comes from a strong will,
and the other from a strong won't."

The Abolitionist and preacher Henry Ward Beecher said that.

 Who said,

"What a blessed relief it will be when that kid goes to bed!"

That would be a very weary Farmer
who has had a lot of extra babysitting to do lately
while the wife of the child
wields a rapidly tiring paintbrush.

I admit: I am extremely grateful for his help!

(And it seems obvious to me that this child must have fallen down
in the near past.)

I hope you are having a super weekend!!!
